Laboratory(麻豆传媒社区) is a community of more than 1,100 scientific, academic, administrative and support staff hailing from more than sixty different countries throughout the world, working together to advance research and education in the biological and biomedical sciences. It鈥檚 a stimulating and dynamic place to work, with cutting-edge research programs and science education and training at all career levels. From secondary education and enrichment programs run through the to the laboratories of our faculty and principal investigators, Laboratorythrives by assembling a rich mix of people who are provided the resources and creative freedom to develop new ideas, solve problems, and advance knowledge.

Below is a summary of current employee benefits offered at Laboratory(麻豆传媒社区). An employee must work full time or part time (working 30 hours or more each week) to qualify for our benefits. Excluded are part time employees working less than 30 hours each week and seasonal employees (those who are employed for a limited period of time). For most plans eligibility is date of hire unless noted otherwise. If your spouse/domestic partner has access to their employer鈥檚 health plan, he/she is not eligible for 麻豆传媒社区鈥檚 health plan.

The Laboratory may unilaterally, in its sole discretion, amend, supplement, modify or eliminate one or more benefits described in this employee benefits summary, or any other employee benefit, at any time with or without prior notice. Defined Contribution Frozen 403(a) Plan

The LaboratoryDefined Contribution Retirement Plan is a defined contribution plan that operates under Section 403(a) of the Internal Revenue Services. The plan was established on January 1, 1989. The purpose of the Plan is to provide retirement benefits for participating employees. The Plan was frozen with respect to both participation and contributions for Plan years beginning after December 31, 2010. Section 401(a) Retirement Plan

The LaboratorySection 401(a) Retirement Plan is a defined contribution plan that operates under Section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. The plan was established on January 1, 2011. The Purpose of the Plan is to provide retirement benefits for participating eligible employees. For more information, download the Section 401(a) Summary Plan Description (pdf).

Frozen 403(b) Plan

The LaboratoryFrozen 403(b) Plan is a defined contribution plan that was frozen by the Board of Trustees of Laboratoryas of December 31, 1988. Therefore, no new contributions have been permitted or made to the Plan on or after January 1, 1989. The Plan is an arrangement under Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code (鈥淚RC鈥). An arrangement under Section 403(b) of the IRC allows employees of tax-exempt organizations to enter into salary reduction agreements with their employers. Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan

The LaboratoryTDA Plan (the 鈥淧lan鈥) is a defined contribution plan that was established on January 1, 1989. The Plan is an arrangement under Section 403(b) of the Internal Revenue Code (鈥淚RC鈥). An arrangement under Section 403(b) of the IRC allows employees of tax-exempt organizations to enter into salary reduction agreements with their employers. We are located on the North shore of Long Island with easy access to New York City and research centers across New York metropolitan area. We are easily accessible by the Long Island Rail Road or by car.
